Pathologist Brian Stanley and his colleague David West are summoned to the remote Petrie's Island to investigate the mysterious death of a local farmer who turned up dead, his corpse entirely boneless. The doctors' efforts to find out the cause of the man's death lead them to reclusive oncologist Dr Phillips, whose experiments to cure cancer might have accidentally unleashed an undying horror beyond comprehension that lives by eating human bones from living victims. |
